This is the horrifying moment a man was apparently dragged to his death after being handcuffed to the back of a police van in South Africa.
The country's police watchdog is investigating after a disturbing video emerged showing the helpless man being pulled 400m along a road.

the mobile phone footage, was apparently filmed by a bystander on a mobile phone, in which uniformed officers subdue the man.
They tie him to the back of a police vehicle in front of a crowd.
South African media said the man was 27-year-old taxi driver Mido Macia, from Mozambique, who was approached by police in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni, east of Johannesburg.
Moses Dlamini of the Independent Police Investigative Directorate told eNCA, a South African news channel, he was "shocked" by the police conduct and that a murder probe is under way.
He added: "We are still interviewing the witnesses because the allegations are that he was dragged with the police vehicle."
The man reportedly later died of various injuries, although the cause of death was not immediately clear.
