Rihanna: "Chris isn't the monster everyone thinks he is. He has a fantastic heart"

In a new revealing interview, Rihanna defends chris brown, and explains why she took him back after he was convicted of assaulting her in 2009. 

And she says that she's still friends with Katy Perry, despite her dating John Mayer: "I could never give relationship advice to anyone!"

When it's suggested that Chris doesn't exactly seem like he's changed, by losing his temper in public, Rihanna says:

"I know it comes off like that, And it doesn't help. For a long time he was really angry ... there's so many reasons why I ever reconsidered having him in my life. He's not the monster everyone thinks. He's a good person. He has a fantastic heart. He's giving and loving. And he's fun to be around. That's what I love about him - he always makes me laugh."

She's clearly forgiven Chris,  and she even reveals she wants babies. "Hell yeah, but I wish I could order them," she says

The singer revealed other things like:

 The fact she can't drive, but she still owns two cars. Both presents from Jay Z, who's the head of her record label. She also gets regular presents from him including a bottle of cognac with a card. Awww.

- She's still mates with Katy Perry, despite rumours they'd fallen out. "Katy Perry can date anyone she wants," Rihanna says. "I could never give relationship advice to anybody!"

- She's so obsessed with an Italian restaurant in LA, she eats there three times a week, moved house to be closer to it and always eats the same thing: spaghetti with tomato sauce and fried calamari. Er, how is she so thin then?

- She tells the Observer she's afraid of ghosts.

- She wants to learn Italian

- She's still got her Christmas tree up. Come on Riri, it's February!

- She eats spicy cheese puff crisps by her pool, and talks to herself "when I'm high".
